GAMSAT 2010 – Pressing the Panic Button?
Are you watching the clock all the time? Going through everything and anything? Still struggling with science? Taking Codapane? Or Ridalin maybe? Or anything like that? Basically pressing the panic button?
GAMSAT is a dream. There are another few more days to go. Precisely, 5 days. You must have worked so hard for the past few months. You must have taken pains going through every GAMSAT preparation material, every GAMSAT question paper. You must have even juggled work with the whole GAMSAT preparation for all these months and decided you should give the last push to your GAMSAT rehearsal because the G-Day arrives in a week from today. It is but natural to be scared. It is quite natural to try all that you can in the last five days. But you will have to pause for a little while and think what you are doing. Are you becoming the slave to last-few-days-panic-attacks? If yes, then you will have to stop being there. Don’t do the mistake that will take you nowhere. There are times when you fail in something and you wonder where you went wrong. You don’t realize it, but this last minute madness can be a very good reason for the “having studied hard but failed” scenario.
The thing you should do now is, first, calm down! Take deep breaths. Then you have to stop studying anything new. You will ruin everything that you have already studied. In fact stop doing anything new. What new can you imbibe in the last few days? There will be no new formula, no new equations, nor would there be any new concept that will give you some sunshine. If you do this, you will find that you cannot see the difference while solving a question in the GAMSAT exam. These last moment morsels which you believe will save you from GAMSAT failure that you are most certainly scared of will not help you. In fact it will decrease your chances. Last minute morsels are highly dangerous. Try staying away from them.
It is time for you go back to those things that you have already done. Go back to those notes that you have already prepared during your GAMSAT notes preparation time. Go back to those questions that you have already answered. Chances are you will find something that you did not notice when you were reading previously. This will give you confidence in knowing exactly what you are up for. Your confidence will be key to your GAMSAT success.
Summing up, all we want to say from here is All the Best to you. May you have Faith in your endeavours. You have struggled for this very day and you must believe that you will succeed. Because you will. You have worked for it.
God Bless Your Hard Work and give fruit to your sincere efforts.
